Developing Adults Key Competencies by Improving their Socio-Scientific Literacy
In the 21st century, we are surrounded by complex and ill-structured issues such as combating global climate change, preventing the spread of coronavirus, animal testing for medical purposes, consumption of GMO foods, establishment of nuclear power plants and cloning. Such ambivalent issues are called socio-scientific issues.
Due to its controversial nature, individuals entering the decision-making process on these issues make decisions by thinking through many sources of evidence such as the media, family, other people, the discourses of scientific authorities and personal justifications. Risk perceptions, misunderstandings and short-cut bias (i.e. affect heuristic) used in this process inhibit effective decision-making. For example, today many people are hanging back from the Covid-19 vaccination process due to disruptive factors such as misunderstanding, media manipulation and risk perceptions.
Governments and policymakers aim to make decisions on controversial global and local problems such as pandemics, global warming, consumption of GMO nutrients and vaccine safety by fairly evaluating sources of evidence and questioning the reliability of multiple sources of evidence.
E-learning platform for up-skilling in fund-raising practice, financial digital literacy in NGO management
Train low-skilled adults and develop their competences in financial literacy/fund-raising through simplified ICT tools.
Support local projects incubating them through fund-raising preparatory actions (or through crowdfunding, partnership building, budget planning etc.) during the project enhancing the impact of SNGOs.
Create a web-platform hosting an interactive online step-by-step web tool to guide target group users in learn financial basics to make a fund-raise plan.
Define/develop a self-assessment tool for digitization of SNGOs, in order to define areas of work and training patterns within organizations.
YOUNG DIGITAL SOCIAL INNOVATORS
Our suite of learning materials are specifically designed to help equip users with a deeper understanding of digital social innovation curriculum.
Social innovation empowers young people to shape the world around them and provides space for them to develop a sense of active citizenship (Report on the Implementation of the EU Youth Strategy 2017). In addition, since social innovation is based on skills such as empathy, creativity, problem-solving and communication, young social innovators also develop the competences they need to integrate into society and become valuable employees or entrepreneurs.
Aiming to empower adults through quality assurance of adult training
The educator is the most important factor to create quality in adult training and education. Today there are no formal regulations in the partner countries regarding adult education. Almost anyone can enter a classroom and teach basic skills. The project will work to improve quality assurance of adult learning and better track the progress of adult learners, by develop criteria’s for transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications for educators.
Better Transition to Eco Smart Schools
This training is designed to plan high schools into Eco-Smart schools so that education and training work is planned, programmed and beneficial for the country. And it teaches it in a structure. Our schools are options for these systems. Our schools benefit from this education service, education and training organizations. It is suitable for all high schools prepared. STEAM courses contain plans of lessons planned in 1 activities. High school schools will increase the volume of their books. One thing about this foundation is to reinforce it in mathematics and science basic basic courses.
